You may encounter a product that is unable to be deleted for a few different reasons. The most common reason would be that the product you are trying to delete is currently on order. Occasionally an error can occur when the product has already been deleted on another device and the current device has missed the synchronization.
The steps below will show how to troubleshoot both of the scenarios mentioned above.
Product Is Currently On Order And Cannot Be Deleted
Receiving this error message when trying to delete a product means that you will need to either receive the open or sent order that the product belongs to or delete the order. To find the open order that the product belongs to follow the steps below:
- Select Menu
- Select Stock Management
- Select Orders & Invoices
- Select Show Advanced Filters
- Change the Status to Outstanding
- Enter the product name into the Product field
- Select Filter
- Receive or cancel any of the orders that the product belongs to
We Could Not Delete the Product From the Server
If you receive an alert like the one below, the item that you are trying to delete may have already been deleted on another device but has missed the synchronization.
