Shopfront stores a local cache of information that makes Shopfront fast and allows you to access Shopfront while it's offline.
We constantly synchronise your data in the background so you'll likely never notice it unless a large amount of data is changed, in which case you may see a blue toast at the top of your screen which states that you're Performing a large synchronisation.
During this period, you're still able to use Shopfront as normal, however, any new products or customers that didn't exist in the local file before the synchronisation started won't be available until it finishes.
Force a Synchronisation
Whilst it shouldn't be required under most circumstances, sometimes you might like to force the synchronisation to run or we may as you to force the synchronisation while providing support.
You can force the synchronisation from the Online button on any page in Shopfront.
- Click on the Online button with the globe symbol on the top right corner
- Click Force Synchronisation
