Using Shopfront in Dark Mode

The Dark Mode setting defines the colour scheme used throughout Shopfront. By default, Shopfront is set to Force Light Mode, a bright white colour scheme. Optionally, this can be configured to Force Dark Mode, a dark black colour scheme or Auto. Auto is based on your device's default colour scheme settings.

Enable Dark Mode for a Register

If multiple registers exist in your store you can set the colour scheme for each. 

1. Select Menu > Setup > General
2. Search for Dark Mode by typing into the text box
3. Select a register from the dropdown menu 
4. Select a colour scheme from the dropdown menu
5. Click Save to finalise and apply the changes

Enabling Dark Mode for a User

To enable dark mode for specific users while maintaining the default settings for other users, follow the steps outlined below.

1. Select Menu > Setup > General
2. Select the Users tab
3. Select a user from the dropdown menu
4. Select a colour scheme from the Override Dark Mode dropdown menu
5. Select Save to finalise and apply the changes

Alternatively, if you only need to modify the mode for the currently logged-in user, follow the steps below.

1. Select the User in the top right of the page
2. Select the Theme you wish to apply for the user
