Is My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?

The easiest way to determine if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit is to open up your system preferences. In Windows 8 and Windows 10, you can right-click on the start button and then click on System

Once the System window opens, you can find if your system is 32-bit or 64-bit by looking under Device Specifications at the row titled System type.

Mac

Under most circumstances, your Mac will be running in 64-bit mode (any Mac running Mountain Lion 10.8 or higher will be in 64-bit mode).
