Introduction to Express Stocktaking

Express Stocktakes allow you to perform a basic stocktake live while your store is trading and your device is connected to the internet. You simply select a product, enter a quantity and select to override the existing inventory or add to the inventory.

{note}Express Stocktakes don’t have a session so they don’t generate a discrepancy report, if this is needed we would highly recommend performing an Advanced Stocktake.{/note}

Performing a Stocktake

Express Stocktakes can be accessed via the Menu > Stock > Stock Management > Express Stocktake.

If you’re a multi-store and currently running in global mode, you’ll be presented with the Register / Outlet selector screen to select which store you wish to modify the inventory for.

Once you’re able to access the stocktake screen, just scan or search for a product, enter in the inventory values you want and select either Override (to replace the existing stock level) or Add to increase the existing stock level by the amount specified.

After an item has been scanned, it will appear in the Scan History below the search bar until you leave the page.

Checking Recently Stocktaked Products

If you’re wanting to find the products that were recently stocktaked and what inventory was adjusted, you can use the Last Stocktaked report.

Navigate to Menu > Reports > Miscellaneous Reports > Stocktaked Products, filter it as you would like and then press the Run button.
